Fly ash and slag cement
PPC and PSC cements, which use industrial byproducts (fly ash, blast furnace slag) instead of pure clinker, are now the default choice for most residential work in both markets — driven as much by cost and performance as by sustainability.
AAC blocks over traditional brick
Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks are growing fastest in India's urban markets, where large manufacturing plants have driven prices close to brick. Nepal's adoption is earlier-stage but accelerating in Kathmandu Valley as more brands enter the market.
Recycled and low-carbon insulation

Solar-integrated construction
